Amprius Technologies, Inc. ("Amprius"), a lithium ion battery leader with a silicon nanowire cathode manufacturing platform, announced that it had completed its business merger with Kensington Capital Acquisition Corp. IV ("Kensington"). On September 15, 2022, trading will begin on the New York Stock Exchange with the stock code of "AMPX". The public warrants of Amprius will be traded under the stock code of "AMPX. W".

Amprius Technologies, Inc. has developed and has been commercially producing ultra-high energy density lithium ion batteries for mobile applications using subversive silicon nanowire anodes since 2018.

The silicon nanowire cathode technology of Amprius enables the battery to have higher energy density, higher power density and extremely fast charging capacity in a wide operating temperature range, which makes its battery have excellent performance compared with the traditional graphite lithium ion battery.

Amprius batteries have unique advantages in solving existing and emerging aviation applications, including UAVs, low orbit satellites and other spacecraft, as well as extensive applications in electric transportation. Amprius has several customers who have successfully used Amprius batteries in aviation and defense applications today.

The transaction will generate a total return of approximately $87 million for Amprius. It is expected that the capital of the transaction will support the company by building its GWh scale manufacturing facilities.
