Tracking system manufacturer FTC Solar and engineering firm Levona Renewables have recently reached a significant partnership, signing a 1GW solar tracking system and software supply agreement. This agreement will further advance solar projects in the United States.

According to the agreement, the first shipment is expected to begin in early 2026. The first project is expected to be a 140MW large-scale ground-mounted solar power plant in Snyder, Texas, part of the CT Solar One project currently under development. Construction of CT Solar One is scheduled to begin in early 2026, with commercial operations expected in 2028. According to Levona, the project will install nearly 200,000 705Wp multicrystalline bifacial modules. Two other photovoltaic projects, CT Solar Two and CT Solar Three, are also included in the supply agreement. Once operational, these two projects will add 650MW of solar photovoltaic capacity to Texas.

FTC Solar will supply its advanced Pioneer 1P tracker and SunPath software for this series of PV projects. Fernando Queiroz, CEO of FTC Solar, stated, "The FTC team, leveraging their development background and tracker expertise, optimized the site through site selection and layout, improving row efficiency and energy yield, while also avoiding unnecessary civil engineering costs."

In addition to this significant supply agreement, FTC Solar has also recently achieved significant success in product development. The company launched the Pioneer+ High Tracker, a new tracker designed for extreme wind conditions. Designed for coastal, hurricane-prone, and high-altitude locations, it boasts exceptional wind resistance, capable of withstanding winds up to 150 mph. Furthermore, the company plans to release a new tracker specifically designed for 2000V systems. This product is expected to represent a significant advancement in the large-scale ground-mounted solar sector, injecting new vitality into the industry.

The collaboration between FTC Solar and Levona Renewables, as well as FTC Solar's efforts in product innovation, will have a positive impact on the development of the U.S. solar industry. The progress of subsequent projects warrants continued attention.
